The School Crossing Guard performs the duty of assisting and protecting school children as they cross the street at key locations through the direction and control of pedestrians and related vehicular traffic.  The Crossing Guard is also responsible for reporting incidents or conditions that present a potential safety hazard and any unsafe driver behaviors, unsafe pedestrian behaviors, unlawful parking interfering with safe crossing, unsafe street conditions, damaged signs, poor visibility, suspicious activity, improper or lack of safety belt or bicycle helmet use.

The position of school crossing guard is a part-time position and requires 45 minutes (7:45-8:30 am)  in the morning and 60 minutes (3:30-4:30 pm) in the afternoon.   The ideal candidate will be professional and courteous with excellent communication skills.
