AMTdirect, a leading financial software company that is experiencing significant growth, is looking to expand their team in Cornelius with a top notch Software Performance Analyst.

The Software Performance Analyst will join the team responsible for maintaining the speed and performance of a SaaS application in multiple environments to include testing and production. The Software Performance Analyst promotes and supports improved performance by using a combination of monitors, data, analytics, and queries to identify areas and items within the SaaS application or database that requires fixes or enhancements. The Software Performance Analyst also works with the development and quality assurance teams to provide solutions and implementation of those solutions.

The Software Performance Analyst is expected to:

  • Create test strategy, test plans and execute performance and load testing activities for large-scale, enterprise-class applications.
  • Gather non-functional requirements; such as system capacity projections, including API traffic. volumes, servers, network, storage capacities, page response times, etc.
  • Collect and analyze results data describing the application’s performance characteristics/trends and publish them.
  • Monitor systems in both production and test environments, measuring and recording key performance indicators, analyze and interpret results.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and complex system performance investigations.
  • Drive performance / load test operations to support continuous performance improvements in the application.
  • Gain a technical and functional understanding of our product architecture and become part of the ongoing improvement of the performance of our enterprise application.
  • Discover thresholds and data impacts.
  • Work together with QA to design and develop automated Performance, Stability, Scalability, Reliability, and Load tests.
  • Participate in the constant improvement of our Performance Test Automation practices.
  • Architect and develop your own tools to facilitate and enhance Performance Testing.
  • Testing at the System, Sub-System, and Component level.

Required experience and expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with SQL, C#, JavaScript.
  • Experience in performance testing with an enterprise-class software system with complex architectures.
  • Experience in performance/load testing enterprise-class software systems.
  • Experience with Windows virtual machines.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics.
  • Experience with SQL, REST API testing.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud technologies.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining focus on achieving optimal outcomes as part of a collaborative development effort.
  • Work within Agile processes and contribute to system readiness reporting based on the outcome of performance analysis and resolution of issues.
