Position performs responsible work in the Physical Education, Recreation & Wellness Department at the Davidson College Lake Campus facility (152 Lake Campus Dr, Mooresville, NC 28117). Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, PE, Recreation & Wellness. Hours 12:00-6:00 (Monday-Sunday). This is a temporary position.
Essential Functions/Duties: Opening, closing, securing area grounds; cleaning facility grounds & restrooms; assist in general facility maintenance and supervision. Implements COVID-19 restroom sanitation protocols (restrooms and guest interactions). Ensures that patrons are adhering to COVID19 guidelines as Other facility projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to understand and follow departmental policies and procedures; basic knowledge of grounds maintenance; ability to work outside in a public environment; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to communicate rule enforcement with patrons.
Education/Experience/Physical Demands/Special Requirements/Additional Information: Some work experience in facility maintenance, landscaping, security. Experience working outside in a public environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work in the heat and cold. Ability to push, pull & lift 50 lbs.
Must possess a valid appropriate driver's license with acceptable driving history. Drug screening, criminal background check.
