Davidson College invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor appointment to begin on July 1, 2021. We seek applicants who will have earned an MFA in painting or equivalent with specialization in painting by August 1, 2021, hold a record of promising research and exhibitions, and also demonstrate a strong commitment to and enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching. Teaching experience both in-person and remote is preferred, although teaching is scheduled to be in-person. Responsibilities include teaching five courses for the academic year (introductory through advanced levels of painting and drawing) and supervision/management of painting classroom/studios.
