The Video Specialist will produce original video content in support of admission, college relations and marketing goals and will work closely with the Asst. Director of Multimedia Production on special projects. Content will be produced for the college website, marketing campaigns, social media and as part of news packages that are shared on the website, via social media and through digital marketing materials. This position will provide support for live event productions and livestreaming opportunities.
- Shoot, edit and produce original Davidson video content.
- Assist with departmental event coverage and livestreaming efforts.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of all video related equipment and software.
Bachelor’s degree in multimedia production, communications or a related field. Work experience of 3 years or more in the field and related on-the-job training may substitute for college level training. Minimum of 2 years full-time video production experience.
Must possess good interpersonal communication skills as well as proficiency in a cinema camera production workflow, live event techniques and equipment, and must have experience with Adobe software, especially proficiency in Adobe Premiere. Must have great time management skills and the ability to work on several projects at the same time. A creative thinker that thrives in a collaborative, team atmosphere.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate college vehicles to transport equipment.
Mainly office/college campus environment; work may be outdoors; may be required to climb stairs or work in elevated locations. Must be able to lift, transport and set up equipment. Night and weekend work may be required occasionally. The individual in this role must be able to communicate clearly and interact effectively with college staff, faculty, students and vendors.
